You may have already heard about the folks over at Bottica, and if you haven’t, they’re worth checking out. We love what they’re doing to support independent jewelry and accessory designers. In a time where nearly everyone is connected online and ‘googling’ is a relevant term in any given conversation, the world has gotten a little bit smaller…and in a good way we think.
Here’s part of the proof: London based company Bottica has been traveling the world looking for the very best undiscovered designers out there and has provided a platform to share their innovative work with all of us. It’s a win-win: we get to wear individual, one of a kind pieces that tell a story, while the designers, some from disconnected and remote parts of the world, have a channel to share their work and stories with the rest of the world. A team of stylists, editors, designers, and the like handpick pieces to be put on Bottica’s website for purchase. Users can browse through the curated jewelry and accessory collection by designer or map location (among other options). There you can read about the designer, their story, browse their collection, and even contact them directly. Are we the only ones totally smitten about that last feature?
